Community Updates
Everything’s Pool! Both Oak Hill Apartments' pools are open from 11 AM to 7 PM (subject to lifeguard availability) for the summer season. Please note that the pools will close for lunch between 4 PM and 5 PM. Below is a reminder of some important rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable pool experience:
Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a resident who is 21 years or older at all times.
All pool patrons must present a valid photo ID. Guests without authorized access will not be permitted in the pool area.
Food is not allowed in the pool area. Additionally, please note that the pool is not available for rent or for resident private events.
Lifeguards are present to ensure everyone's safety. Please listen to and follow their instructions.
If you're interested in working as a lifeguard at Oak Hill Apartments pools, take the opportunity to broaden your work experience while enjoying yourself. The position offers a rate of $20 per hour. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact pittrecruit@americanpool.com.

Annual Recertification Packets: Annual Recertification packets will continue to be mailed to you, even when the office is open. Please refrain from making straight lines on HUD/Oak Hill paperwork. Once you receive your packet, please sign (Signature) where it indicates "Resident sign." Remember to sign every highlighted section. Do NOT PRINT. Please return all forms that were sent to you. Verification Forms should be signed by you for authorization, not filled out. You are not a case worker, bank teller, or employer. If you did not keep the Social Security printout that is mailed to you every year around December, please contact the Social Security Office at 877-405-3575 to obtain an updated printout. However, please wait until you receive your 1st Recertification notice before requesting the printout to ensure it is current and accurate.
Student Status Affidavit Form: Please refrain from using BIG X's on this form. In Letter A, it states, "If a Household contains at least one occupant who is not a student, has not been a student, and will not be a student for five or more months during the current and/or upcoming calendar year, if this item is checked, no further information is needed. All you need to do is sign the form.
Thank you to all the residents who follow up on their Recert packets and submit them to the office by the 15th of the month. We appreciate your promptness. Thank you all for your cooperation with the Compliance Department and fulfilling your commitment to HUD by completing your Annual Recertification.
It is essential to note that failure to complete your Annual Recertification will result in your removal from the Section 8 based program.
Independence Day: Oak Hill Apartments offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4th, 2023 in observance of Independence Day. We wish you a happy and safe celebration!
Parking Pass: All vehicles on the property must possess a valid parking permit issued by Management. Parking passes will ONLY be issued to current residents with their current/valid driver’s license, car insurance, and car registration. Visitors must obtain a Guest Pass from Management or Oak Hill Public Safety (412-292- 2121). Oak Hill Residents DO NOT
Rent Reminder: Rent is due the 1st of each month. Late fees will be waived for payments received by the end of business on the 5th of each month, unless the 5th falls on a day the management office is closed. If closed, late fees will be waived on payment received before 9:00 AM on the following business day, Please put your full name and complete address on all checks and money orders.
Tech Tips: Five Tips for Safe Social Media Practices
1. Be Selective with Friend Requests: Only accept friend requests from people you know and trust. Avoid adding unknown individuals or accounts that appear suspicious.
2. Limit Personal Information: Be cautious about sharing personal information on social media platforms. Avoid posting sensitive details such as your full address, phone number, or financial information. Keep your privacy settings updated to control who can see your posts and personal information.
3. Think Before You Share: Before posting anything on social media, consider the potential impact and who can see it. Be mindful of sharing vacation plans, upcoming events, or information that could compromise your security or privacy.
4. Report Suspicious Activity: If you come across suspicious accounts or encounter any form of harassment, spam, or inappropriate content, report it to the social media platform. Reporting such activity helps maintain a safer online community.
5. Stay Aware of Privacy Settings: Familiarize yourself with the privacy settings offered by the social media platforms you use. Regularly review and update these settings to ensure they align with your desired level of privacy and security.
HOU Happenings
Please look out in your buildings and around the Community and for any information about upcoming events call HOU at 412-621-0438 x 104. HOU Youth Program Hours are 12:00PM-4:00PM. Please reach out to Diamen Green Youth Program Coordinator at 617-631-8746 regarding enrollment but spaces are limited, as well as any youth activities and programming.

A Reminder about Grilling: Please remember to enjoy the outdoors responsibly. Per item 6 of the Community Rules in your lease, grills and grilling are prohibit- ed on the property except in designated areas. One such area for public use is the grilling area located near Wadsworth Hall! Grills are first come first serve, but please be courteous to your neighbors and clean up after using the grills and picnic areas.
Fire Safety: As we welcome summer and the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, please remember a few items from the Community Rules. According to item 32, “Igniting, launching, or displaying fireworks of any type is strictly prohibited.” Item 33 reminds us that, “Residents are not permitted to erect recreational equipment of any kind on the community. This includes all inflatable structures. This also includes open flame items such as tiki torches and firepits. If you have any questions whether an item is permitted, please contact the Management Office.
